A CANMORE CONDO

THAT STANDS OUT FROM THE CROWD.

As anyone who has stayed in Canmore knows, most of the condos are almost exactly the same: dark slate, rough stone, cherry wood, and traditional bronze fixtures. But that aesthetic didn’t speak to our clients; they wanted a design that was fresh and modern, while still being comfortable, welcoming, and flexible for their AirBNB clients.

AirBNBs provide a unique challenge because not only do they need to immediately grab your attention from a photo, they also need to be functional and hard-wearing. This condo, in the mountain destination town of Canmore, will see hundreds of visitors per year. We struck a balance of style + durability by incorporating heavy-duty velvets, leathers, and a vinyl mural that spans the length of the high-traffic hallway.

The living room was designed with maximum flexibility in mind. The couch converts into a pull-out bed (bringing the potential occupancy up to 10 people), and the ottoman does triple duty: it acts as a coffee table, a footrest, and additional seating if required.

But one of the best parts of this condo? Not only is it cozy, comfortable, and close to the mountains — it has a balcony with an amazing view of the Three Sisters. You’ll never want to leave.
