A TRADITIONAL TUSCAN INTERIOR

GETS A MODERN MAKEOVER.

Before the renovation, this home was a full embrace of Tuscan-inspired design. From ornate detailing and columns to crystal accents and a backsplash adorned with hand-painted grapes, it was rich, traditional, and unmistakably rooted in another era. While it may have been perfect for the previous owners, our clients knew immediately that it didn’t reflect their style.

Beyond the heavy detailing, the main floor felt dark and closed off. Interior walls blocked natural light from traveling through the space, skylights were tucked high into the ceiling where they did little to brighten the rooms below, and dark red hardwood floors absorbed what little light remained.

The transformation required a bold approach. We removed all of the interior walls on the main floor and took it one step further by vaulting the entire ceiling. The result is a dramatic sense of openness and light, amplified by new flooring, updated windows and doors, and a completely redesigned kitchen.

Today, the home feels airy, modern, and filled with light — so much so that it’s hard to believe it was once a richly detailed space inspired by the Italian countryside.
